Luciano Brogi

Commedia dell’Arte


Born Siena 3/9/57. After graduating in Direction at the National Academy for Dramatic Arts "Silvio D’Amico" in Rome, Luciano Brogi studied Commedia dell’Arte with Carlo Boso. He has worked extensively, both nationally and internationally, as an actor and mime-artist, as a director in his own right and as assistant director to Giorgio Marini, Luigi Squarzina, Mauro Bolognini, Alvaro Piccardi, Gabriele Dolcini.
Since 1980 at Mimoteatromovimento of Rome he teaches mime; in 1982 he taught Gesture in music at Carinthischer Sommer in Austria and, from 1986 Scenic Art at the Teatro Lirico Sperimentale di Spoleto.
Luciano Brogi teaches Commedia dell’Arte since 1980: in Italy at INDA (Istituto Nazionale del Dramma Antico), at the Professional Training Centres of Regione Molise, at the Lydia Biondi Teatro Studio and at the Carlo Merlo school of Rome. He has conducted workshop throughout Italy and in New York, Bogotà, Helsinki and Turku, Madrid, Lisbon, London, El Cairo, Toronto, Wien, Bucharest, Wolfsburg, Monastir, Neumarkt (D).
Since 1991 he is Director of SAT (Scuola Addestramento Teatrale) in Rome.
