Theatre Acting School

Sat is a cultural association not for money which promotes cultural activities and shows whit particular reference to the theatre genre. Sat is composed by actors and directors graduated at the National Academy of Dramatic Art "Silvio D’Amico" and by professional coreographers and videomakers. The association has been founded by Luciano Brogi, student of Carlo Boso and teacher of Commedia dell’Arte in Italy and abroad. All the italian and foreign citizens can be members of this association.
Sat is divided into two sections:
Sat - Company
Sat is a company focused on researches and experimentation of theatrical forms using an original method of interaction between stages and didactic activity. The professional work of each component of the company is regularly tested on the teaching activity. In other words the school is where director, actors and videomakers countinually prepare and try out forms and methods which are later verified on stage.
Sat - School
Sat school opened in 1992 with refresher-courses for professionists and also with lessons for beginner actors, which are being organized in theatre training. The teaching programmes are structured in order to offer specific courses for different levels as required. All the teachers are qualified and selected according to their previous performing and directing works. The acting classes are attended by actors and directors graduated in the National Academy of Dramatic Art "Silvio D’Amico".

Foreign Activities
Sat, as an association or as single membership, has been introduced into cultural programmes for foreign activities, for Regione Lazio, Foreign Ministry or Italian Culture Institut account. Sat members have contributed to the knowledge and diffusion of the Italian theatre tradition in Bogotà, Helsinki, New York, Toronto, Wien, Madrid, Ossiach, Lisbon, Wolfsburg (Germany), Bucharest, London, Paris, Turku, Cairo, Monastir (Tunisia).

Paris
In 1993 Sat has partecipated at the theatre review "About Goldoni" with the show La Finta Malata, for the Rome Council’s Summer Program. The show was played during an italian tournée and it was played at the "Paris 19-39" review organized for the Department of Culture of the Regione Lazio, in Paris.

Bucharest
Sat has been invited to keep a Commedia dell’Arte, Folk-Song and Dances workshop at the National Academy of Theatre in Bucharest for the Regione Lazio account. In the same occasion the association has shown La Piazza Universale in the Casandra Theatre, involving also the laboratory students of Bucharest.
